Dr Nat

Clinical Psychologist + Founder

All of my work is neurodiversity-affirming.

This means I approach neurodivergent experiences as meaningful variations of human experience requiring understanding and scaffolding specific to the individual's needs in order to thrive, not as deficits to be corrected.
In practice, therapy often involves understanding not only what is happening on the surface, but also the patterns underneath:

Emotions, relationships, nervous system responses, protective strategies, and the parts of a person’s story that may not yet have had enough space to be understood.
I aim to create a therapeutic space that is warm, thoughtful, yet direct and genuinely collaborative.

If something is not working, we can talk about it. If something feels difficult to say, we can work towards it carefully.

Therapy should feel like something we do together, not something that is done to you.

Therapeutic Approach

Therapy with Dr Nat is client-centred, collaborative, and purposeful. She adapts the work to the individual person, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.

Dr Nat's therapeutic approach is integrative, attachment-based, trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming.

Therapeutic Frameworks:

I draw from evidence-based therapeutic frameworks, including:
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),

  • Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP; which she is currently training in),

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-informed skills,

  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT),

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI),

  • mindfulness and self-compassion-based approaches,

  • Attachment-theory based and Gottman-informed approaches for interpersonal and relationship work.

Special Interests
+ Languages

Dr Nat has a particular interest in working with neurodivergent people in ways that are genuinely affirming.

This may include support around late diagnosis, self-understanding, emotional processing, identity, relationships, strengths, confidence, and finding ways of living that fit the person rather than forcing the person to fit the system.

Languages:

  • English      ||   German

Dr Nat holds native-level fluency in both and can see clients in either language.
