Formal Diagnostic Assessment
Diagnostic psychological and cognitive assessments for clarification of underlying conditions for self-understanding or for diagnosis are available for teenagers (16+) and adults. Clinical interviews may be held in person at the rooms at Palm Beach (QLD, Australia) or via secure telehealth video platforms (e.g., Coviu). Cognitive testing sessions are held in person only.
Sessions are available in English and German.
Assessment Pathways
Screening Assessment
Not every assessment needs to be a full diagnostic workup.

Screening gives an initial indication of whether a fuller assessment would be worthwhile, or focused information for self-understanding or to share with another treating professional. It is narrower than a comprehensive assessment and does not include the same breadth of interviewing, questionnaires or collateral information. Screening findings may identify areas for further assessment without establishing a diagnosis.

Targeted ADHD screening includes a one-hour Initial assessment session, a DIVA interview of 1.5 to 2 hours, included NovoPsych screening questionnaires and a one-hour feedback session. Diagnostic questionnaires and a collateral interview are optional add-ons. Estimated session fees are $945 to $1,080 (concession $805 to $920).

Written output is optional and separately estimated before writing begins. If you later proceed to a formal assessment, relevant work already completed is carried forward.
Formal Diagnostic Clarification
Formal assessments for adults and older adolescents (16+) seeking diagnostic clarification and a report to inform treatment, practical strategies and adjustments at work or in study.

Pathways include a Standard assessment for mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression or OCD; Comprehensive assessments for ADHD, autism, ADHD and autism, or personality; and Cognitive or Comprehensive Cognitive and Learning assessments. Every pathway begins with a one-hour Initial assessment session, and your written estimate is built from the parts your assessment actually needs.

A formal assessment provides an explained diagnostic conclusion, including any remaining uncertainty, an assessment report with findings and recommendations, and a feedback session. A separate letter is prepared only where agreed in your estimate.

The report can be shared with referrers or other relevant people, for example to support access to treatment or adjustments at home, work, school or university.
Assessment Services & Fees
The tables show standard, agreed concession and after-hours appointment fees. Different appointment lengths have the stated prices. Reports, letters and commissioned documentation are billed at the report rate in 15-minute increments. Other agreed clinical work outside appointments and separately agreed non-clinical administration have their own disclosed rates. You receive an individual written estimate before assessment work proceeds. Assessment session fees are current as of October 2026 and are subject to annual review.
